Complimentary tickets to South African Ladies GAA

The South African Gaels GAA teams who are participating in the GAA World Games in Abu Dhabi in two weeks' time arrive in Ireland today (Feb 27th).

The ladies team are playing the UCD International Ladies GAA team in a challenge game on Tuesday evening in UCD. Throw in is at 5 p.m. As part of their preparation for this game, the UCD International Ladies team recently played a Foxrock Cabinteely selection in what was a very enjoyable and entertaining game.

The South African Gaels teams are being sponsored by ESB International (ESBI) and as a "Thank You" from ESBI to us for helping the UCD International team prepare for this game, the club have received some complementary tickets to the game on Tuesday.

The tickets will be available in the club house during the Academy on Saturday morning (Feb 28th). If you would like to go to the game but are unable to make it down to Kilbogget Park on Saturday, please mail foxcabgaapro@outlook.ie and let us know how many tickets you'd like, and we'll make sure to get these to you.

Dublin Football teams in action this weekend

The club and its members are avid supporters of the various Dublin football teams (both ladies and men's) but this passion is stepped up significantly when there's Foxrock Cabinteely players involved.  This weekend sees 4 Dublin teams in action and isn't it great that we have players on all the panels!

First out are the U14 team where they play Meath in the Leinster Championship @ 1:30 p.m. in Pairc Ui Murchu. The U16's also play Meath in the Leinster Championship at the same venue with the throw in at 3:00 p.m.

On Sunday the Minor team play Kildare in the 2nd round of the Leinster Championship at 2:30 p.m. in Parnell's GAA Club in Coolock. Finally, the Senior team take on Kerry in round 4 of the National League at the Legion GAA Club in Killarney.  The Dublin men's team are also playing Kerry in the National Football league on Sunday @ 2 p.m. in Fitzgerald Stadium. Considering that the Legion GAA pitch is about 1 mile away from Fitzgerald Stadium, one wonder's why both games couldn't be fixed for Fitzgerald Stadium.

Anyway, best of luck to all - and particularly the Foxrock Cabinteely girls involved!
