U15/U16 squad training has a visitor.
A late August U15s/U16s evening training session had a very welcome interruption with a visit from the U16 All-Ireland Championship Cup. Our picture shows the squad, very proud of their team mate's achievement.

Well done Emma, Emma and Emily. |

On 17th, 18th and 19th August the Club ran it inaugural School of Excellence Camp. Because of its content, this camp was aimed at the older age groups within the Club. In conjunction with a football day, it covered other aspects of sport, outside of the skills area, that can directly affect performance on the pitch.

Great news that the U13 Girls have just been crowned U13 Division Champions regaining a title this team last one at Under 11.
This was a highly competitive league making the achievement of winning all seven matches all the more notable. Every match was closely fought and it was a tribute that the girls came out on top in so many tight matches.

A very special group of Foxrock Cabinteely young ladies clinched the under 11 Division 1 League Saturday 15th May in Swords, away to Fingallians. Hard work, teamwork, commitment and football skills beyond belief are the words that immediately come to mind to describe this very special team. Most of the girls having played Go Games in 2009, came together for the first time in January for really tough training sessions in Loreto Foxrock. 20 were selected to compete in Division 1 of the League, while a further 23 remained with the development squad managed by David O Connor and his management team for the league campaign in Division 4. A second under 11 development squad was entered in Division 2 in April managed by Paul Hamill and his team. Monday night training sessions were special and full of fun, however commitment was the name of the game as most weeks 19/20 out of 20 turned up, even on the cold wet nights.

On Tuesday 11th May, our U15's won the U15 Dublin South League title.
We travelled to Thomas Davis for the final League match of the season. With both teams unbeaten, this was the League decider against our old rivals from our U11 and U12 days. A little bit of a nervy start saw Thomas Davis go 6 points up after 10 minutes. During that time we were getting good possession but just not getting the scores. We didn't have to wait long. A goal by Ciara Crotty settled the nerves and further scores by Niamh Ryan, Lorna O'Sullivan, Hannah Burke and Sinead Prendergast saw us turn a 6 point deficit into a half time 10 point lead. The second half saw Thomas Davis come back strong but a great defensive display saw them limited to just 3 points while at the same time Fox-Cab notched up another 2-4 thanks to scores from Katie Fisher and Co.
